Tokina has officially released the AT-X 24–70mm F/2.8 lens, the first full-frame 24–70mm lens from the Japanese manufacturer. Announced at CP+ earlier this year, the AT-X 24–70mm F/2.8 features a new optical design that uses three ‘precision molded’ aspherical lens elements and three ‘SD’ super-low dispersion elements. This proprietary design is said to improve contrast, sharpness and issues from chromatic aberrations. The lens’ autofocus is driven by Tokina’s Silent Drive-Module (SDM), which keeps noise to a minimum while quickly focusing on the subject....
