Imaging recource: Sony announces 14-bit uncompressed RAW image capture for new A7 series, 8 new FE lenses coming

Sony announced it's bringing 14-bit RAW image capture to the newer A7 series of cameras, beginning with the A7S II, which begins shipping in October. They've also announced a firmware upgrade that will bring this option to the A7R II and alluded to the possibility of updating addional A7 series cameras as well. The new feature will allow users to select 14-bit compressed or uncompressed RAW capture.
