We have all seen software and filters that can make your photographs look more like paintings, but what about going in the opposite direction? Researchers at UC Berkley have developed an AI which does image-to-image translation. They can transfer paintings into what looks like a photograph and vice versa. The team was also able to translate winter landscapes into summer landscapes, horses into zebras and apples into oranges. Training a system to be able to make these translations and conversions is a very complicated process...
