The 2017 Pulitzer Prizes have been awarded and the winning photographers this year are a pair of photographers who turned their lenses on violence across the world. In the Breaking News Photography Award, Daniel Berehulak won for his coverage of the government crackdown, assault and violence on drug dealers and users in the Philippines that resulted from President Rodrigo Duterte’s aggressive antidrug campaign.
