Imaging recource: Canon reissues service notice for 24-105mm f/4L IS II

Two weeks ago to the day, we told you about an interesting service advisory which popped up on the website of Canon Philippines. A short while after our article went live, the update vanished and a few days later we received a confirmation that it had accidentally been released early. And now, it's back! (And not just on a random Canon website, but on the company's US and Canadian websites. (You can see it on the Canon USA site here, if you want, or read on for the nutshell view.) So what's the issue behind this service...
