US photographer Dorte Verner's extraordinary photo "Disappearing Fishing Method by Moken" won the prize for the most popular photo in Nikon's 49th annual global photo contest, out of more than 76,000 submitted by 21,511 photographers from 170 countries. The Most Popular prize was awarded based on the votes of all the other photographers who had made it past the first cut.
