Imaging recource: Leica announces pancake Elmarit-TL 18mm f/2.8 ASPH. lens for Leica L-mount

Alongside their new Leica CL camera, the German company has also released a new L-mount lens for their APS-C camera system, the Leica Elmarit-TL 18mm f/2.8 ASPH. lens. The L-mount lens has a 27mm equivalent focal length and an aperture range of f/2.8 to f/16. The ASPH. lens has four aspherical surfaces and a pancake form factor. The lens is only 0.83 inches (21 millimeters) long and has a 2.4 inch (61 millimeter) diameter. The lens weighs a paltry 2.8 ounces (80 grams). With its 39mm filter thread, this is one small Leica lens....
