Imaging recource: Is the new Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus the best smartphone camera? DxOMark weighs in

The Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus is the latest in a long line of premium smartphones from the giant Korean manufacturer. It has a similar dual-camera setup as is found in the Galaxy Note 8, but it has a very big new trick up its sleeve, a variable-aperture lens on the main camera. When light is low, the lens opens up to f/1.5. When the available light is sufficient, the lens stops down to f/2.4, increasing sharpness and detail rendition.
